Olympic gold medal winner Sally Gunnell and TV presenter Charley Boorman will be the newv guest speakers at the Institute of Car Fleet Management's annual conference, which takes place on Wednesday, October 21.

The event, entitled Fleet 2020, will be held at the Williams Conference Centre, Grove, Oxfordshire.

Paul Hollick, chairman of the ICFM, said: “Unfortunately, our original guest speaker Phil Tufnell had to pull out at the last minute due to BBC filming commitments but we are delighted to have replaced him with not one but two star guest speakers.

"Sally Gunnell OBE will be appearing in the morning and Charley Boorman in the afternoon.

“Panellists for our in-dialogue session ‘The Landscape Today – Fleet 2020’ include Robin Hayles, sustainable fuel development manager at Hyundai, speaking on fuel cell technology; Howard Cox, founder of FairFuelUK on fuel costs; Hugh Boyes of the University of Warwick, leading specialist on cyber security; and Ben Creswick, business development director at FMG, talking about technological advances in incident management.

“In addition, we have a special presentation on developments in advanced engineering within F1 by Paul McNamara, technical director, at Williams Advanced Engineering.

“As a not-for-profit education and training organisation, our awards presentation is an essential part of our conference and our awardees will be privileged to have their certificates presented to them by Charley Boorman.

“I believe that the 160 plus delegates so far registered are in for a real treat, especially as afterwards there will be tours of Sir Frank Williams' private Grand Prix Collection which houses more than 40 of the team's seminal race cars.

"It is the largest private collection of Formula 1 cars in the world, charting the team's 38-year F1 history.”
