Chinese new entrant BYD (Build Your Dreams) will make its Company Car in Action (CCIA) 2023 debut next week, with the new Atto 3 all-electric compact SUV.

Competing against the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4 and MG4, which will both be available to test drive at the event, the Atto 3 stands out from the crowd, particularly with its interior design. CCIA will present the first opportunity for fleets to test the car on a variety of routes - see details of all the cars and vans available to test in our preview guide.

Range from the 60.5kWh battery is 260 miles (WLTP combined), rising to 351 miles on the city rating. BYD says it can be charged from 30-80% in 29 minutes on a 150kW rapid charger.

Mark Blundell, UK marketing and PR manager at BYD, said: “BYD are delighted to debut at this year’s Company Car in Action where we’re looking forward to introducing our brand, products and technology to key fleet decision-makers in the UK.”

The Atto 3 also has a 12.8-inch infotainment screen that rotates to offer landscape or portrait viewing. It is complemented by shortcut buttons and ‘Hi BYD’ voice control.

There is no binnacle embedded into the dashboard; it’s replaced by a small digital screen attached to the steering wheel which shows key info.

Also on the stand will be a static display of a prototype Dolphin electric five-door hatchback.
