Nexus Vehicle Rental has launched Nexus Connect, a new mobile app-based rental solution.

The service was developed specifically for end-users, in order to streamline all aspects of the rental process while on the move.

Nexus Connect users can manage their bookings in one place; including extensions, off-hires and cancellations. The application connects customers, the Nexus team and suppliers.

As well as supporting bookings for cars, Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), a key feature the vehicle handover tool, which users can complete in full on the mobile app. This tool allows customers to manage all vehicle touch points within the app itself, enabling drivers to input all information required during both the delivery and collection process, including fuel/battery level, mileage, rental paperwork and details about vehicle condition.

Nexus Connect also gives users the ability to manage multi-vehicle fleets, streamlining the back-end administration, fleet management and invoicing processes.

James Maden, sales & marketing director at Nexus Vehicle Rental, said: “We are committed to creating solutions that enable our customers to keep moving and to do this, we are always looking for new ways to develop and update our service offering at Nexus. We are really excited about the launch of Nexus Connect and the enhanced functionality it offers our customers, enabling them to have full control of the end-to-end rental process where they are.

“Our product development is delivered in-house, we ensure our technology suits the changing needs of our customers. We have customers across a multitude of sectors, but the key to our proposition is helping them achieve maximum efficiencies within their fleet operation”.

Nexus Vehicle Rental was recently acquired by private equity firm Equistone. The business provides access to more than 550,000 vehicles, including 100,000 specialist and commercial vehicles and 500,000 HGVs, across 2,000 locations.
