Parkers has announced the shortlist for its Best Company Car award ahead of the Parkers New Car Awards 2021.

In partnership with Fleet News, three models have been selected that are supremely tax efficient, shouldn’t be costly to fuel and are great long-distance haulers.

They are the BMW 330e, the Skoda Superb iV and the reigning Parkers Company Car of The Year, the Tesla Model 3.

Now in its fourth year, the Parkers New Car Awards 2021 reflect the views of Britain’s car-buying public, with winners decided by a combination of the site’s expert reviewers’ verdicts in thousands of miles of road testing and the purchasing habits of the website’s 2.3+ million users actively involved in the buying process.

Keith Adams, Parkers.co.uk Editor, said: ‘The company car market has changed beyond all recognition in recent years, and continues to do so with recently-introduced tax breaks for plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles. Our three shortlisted cars demonstrate the effect these rule changes have had – with two PHEVs and one brilliant EV.’

Parkers Company Car of the Year award shortlist:

BMW 330e

What BMW doesn’t know about meeting the needs of company car drivers really isn’t worth knowing at all. The 330e shows just how masterful the Bavarian company is, building a PHEV that’s not only long-legged and economical, but also great to drive.

Skoda Superb iV

The latest addition to the excellent Skoda Superb range is this plug-in hybrid version. It’s refined and comfortable, supremely roomy and capable of more than 30 miles on battery power alone. A good value plug-in that’s winning lots of friends.

Tesla Model 3

One year on from its first award and the Tesla Model 3 has become a UK bestseller during lockdown and proved itself as the best EV for long-distance driving thanks to its excellent Supercharger network. A strong image closes the deal for this one.

The Best Company Car will be announced alongside all of the winners of the Parkers New Car Awards 2021 on 26 October, and you can also see all shortlisted vehicles in all categories from today on the Parkers website: www.parkers.co.uk/car-awards
