Shell Fleet Solutions has been awarded ‘number one supplier status’ for its telematics solution, Shell Telematics, on the new Halton Housing fleet procurement framework.

The offering will be available to a large amount of public sector fleets, as a result.

It aims to help fleets to boost efficiencies with a data-led approach to fleet management.

Halton Housing, a Northwest housing association with over 7,000 homes across Widnes and Runcorn, has created its own framework alongside Link Group to improve delivery of its range of housing services.

Sarah Llewelyn, UK sales manager at Shell Fleet Solutions, said: “Halton Housing has a reputation for embedding innovation in the way it delivers services to residents, and we share the same ambition when delivering services to our fleet customers. Our experience working with a variety of housing associations, council bodies, charities and more, highlights that our integrated fleet solutions, such as telematics, very much cater to the needs of the public sector, today and for the future.”

As the number one ranked telematics supplier in the framework, Shell Fleet Solutions says it can provide fleet managers with an insight-driven, integrated solution to help them get the most from their fleets.

By combining the Shell Card with vehicle data, Shell’s end-to-end offering promises to help fleet managers to better understand how drivers and vehicles are performing with on-demand, customisable reports. This, in turn, helps them to optimise routes, boost efficiency and productivity, increase security and help to ensure driver safety.

Marc Garrett, associate director at Link Group, added, “With vehicle procurement often being expensive and time-consuming, this framework will help boost efficiencies and improve Halton Housing’s range of services. As the number one ranked telematics supplier in the framework, we are confident that Shell Fleet Solutions will help to drive this goal forward, by providing expertise and insight-driven solutions that help fleets to generate efficiencies wherever possible.”
