Renault dealers to offer out-of-hours maintenance service for vans

Renault’s network of Pro Plus van dealers is to start opening later and at the weekend to offer out of hours servicing for fleets.

Ken Ramirez, Renault managing director, told Fleet News that the company was strengthening its Pro Plus offering to take into consideration the needs of customers.

“We will extend to overnight receipt of vehicles to consider their needs, especially for smaller fleets,” he said. “They need the flexibility to work in the day and maintain the vehicle off-hours so our dealers need to change to be flexible.”

The extended servicing structure is currently being put in place in discussion with dealers. Ramirez recognises that it is not one rule for everyone; it depends on the individual needs of each dealer’s customers.

“Dealers have to know their customers and their requirements. We can’t expect everyone to do the same type of operation but we will be extending our opening into weekend and evening,” he said.
