Tusker has achieved ISO 14001 for its Environmental Management System which controls, measures and monitors the company’s environmental aspects.

The certification verifies that Tusker has created and enforced a successful system that delivers on its objectives and supports other existing sustainability projects as well as those planned for the future.

In 2014, Tusker offset 30,000 tons of tailpipe carbon emissions and has set a target of offsetting 60,000 tons for 2015.  Tusker has significantly reduced its carbon footprint as an organisation by relocating to a green office park in Watford and also record and offset their annual carbon footprint in accordance with PAS2060 to achieve a carbon neutral status.

The independent external auditor was presented with several environmental initiatives introduced by Tusker, including ensuring that all new cars delivered are carbon neutral through a number of accredited offsetting schemes.

All the company directors drive electric vehicles and key customers are offered long term loans of electric vehicles free of charge.

Chief commercial officer Iain Carmichael, said: “We are recognised by our customers as a green champion and as experts on electric vehicles, so we are naturally proud and delighted to have achieved this latest ISO certification which recognises and verifies the developments we have made in this key area of our business.”

This latest ISO certification adds to Tusker’s achievement two years ago of ISO 9001 for its quality management systems, and ISO 27001 for the secure management of clients’ confidential information and data.
