Volkswagen has launched a special edition Amarok Ultimate pick-up truck, offering the highest standard specification for the model yet.

Just 500 of the vehicles will be available. The exterior design is distinguished by bi-xenon headlights, 19–inch polished alloy wheels and double chrome strips on the radiator grille.

LED daytime running lights are available for the first time on an Amarok, while other standard equipment includes electrically foldable, heated and adjustable door mirrors featuring enhanced chrome detailing.

Inside, the Amarok Ultimate has Alcantara-trimmed seats, a leather multifunction steering wheel, alloy pedal covers (automatic only), heated driver and front passenger seats and satellite navigation.  A reversing parking camera is also standard, along with rear privacy glass and Bluetooth.

The Amarok is fitted with Volkswagen’s 2.0-litre BiTDI 180hp engine, offering a maximum towing capacity of up to 3,200kg.

Customers can choose between the six-speed manual selectable four-wheel drive or with eight-speed auto-permanent four-wheel drive.
