Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an image of the new Concept Coupe SUV at its annual shareholders meeting.

Chairman of the board of management and head of Mercedes-Benz cars division Dr Dieter Zetsche announced the Concept Coupé SUV, to be presented at next month's Beijing Motor Show.

The company says the vehicle is a sportily styled coupé study with the added value of an SUV, and claims it provides a realistic glimpse of a series-production vehicle expected next year, with 'dynamic' handling.

"With the Concept Coupé SUV we aim to secure new customers by opening up new segments for Mercedes-Benz", said Zetsche.

"We see a great deal of potential for Mercedes-Benz in the combination of coupé and SUV. We will be officially unveiling the Concept Coupé SUV in just under two weeks at the Beijing Auto Show", he added.
