Lex Autolease has been selected by media publishing company, Local World, as its sole provider of vehicle and fleet management services.

The regional newspaper publisher, with offices in 18 locations across the UK, comprises of 115 titles with a weekly print circulation of more than five million. To support its sales operations, the company has taken delivery of 35 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Tdi S hatchbacks for its field sales representatives.

The exclusive four-year agreement, which includes full maintenance and accident management services, is based on a whole life cost model designed to support the company’s monetary objectives and a reduction in its carbon footprint. The Volkswagen Golf, with its low-CO2 emission band A rating, aligns well with these targets by reducing emissions and balancing the financial requirements of the business with the aim of providing a good quality vehicle to employees.
