GAP Hire Solutions has announced the launch of a new Vehicle Hire division in line with its expansion plans for 2015.

The division is the fourth to be launched by GAP this year, following the successful integration of Survey & Safety Hire, Event Services and Welfare Services.

GAP has recently completed the acquisition of Central Vehicle Hire; an established company operating across Central Scotland with a team of experienced staff.  Drawing upon their extensive knowledge, GAP Vehicle Hire says it will offer a broad range of the UK’s newest commercial vehicles and cars, all of which can be built to the customers’ exact specification.

As part of the purchase, GAP Vehicle Hire also inherits a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles and there are ambitious plans for the new company to become a major player in the industry.

GAP’s new Vehicle Hire operations director, Jim Forrester, said: “I am excited about establishing GAP Vehicle Hire as the UK’s market leader.

“I believe our flexibility, customer service levels and the exceptional reputation of GAP Group set us apart from the competition.”

Founded in 1969, GAP has an annual turnover of £118million and currently employs more than 1,000 staff across 100 depots in the UK.
