The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has announced the date of the 2013 Scottish Supply Chain Conference.

This year's event (partnered by DWF Biggart Baillie and  supported by CILT) will be held on September 26, and reviews and develops key themes around the logistics challenges facing Scotland in the evolving European and global market places.

It will also examine one of the primary challenges facing freight and logistics in Scotland during 2014 - keeping deliveries moving before and during the Glasgow Commonwealth Games (July 23 - August 3 2014).

Delegates who attend will be able to stay one-step ahead of the Games as they will receive initial information to start planning in advance to minimise disruption throughout the event.

Attendees will also gaining a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities impacting on the logistics sector over the coming year, and will hear first-hand from those organising the Games about the affect on the supply chains of Glasgow, the rest of Scotland and further afield.
