Aston Barclay’s Leeds has cemented its position as an established venue for fleet car auction sales - less than four months after it opened its doors for business.

The company had cause to celebrate after the auctioneers’ hammer successfully fell on every vehicle provided by lease car providers Alphabet UK, Leasedrive and Zenith during its Friday fleet sale on September 21.

Significantly, the 100% conversion also produced an overall result of over 104% of CAP Clean.  The star of the show was an Audi A5 S-Line TFSI which achieved 181% of CAP Clean.

Putting the sale’s success into perspective, General Manager Lisa Grimsley said: “I’ve been in the business for more than 20 years and have never witnessed a 100% conversion in an open fleet sale where the catalogue features a variety of car marques.”

She added: “While we have been steadily progressing with Leeds, the success of Friday’s fleet sale not only firmly establishes the centre but also confirms our on-going strategy of bringing new buyers to our sales alongside our regular customers is also paying off.”
