Bram Schot has been given executive responsibility for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles effective April 1, 2012. Schot succeeds Harald Schomburg, who will leave the company by mutual consent once the transition to his successor has been completed.

Schot joined the Volkswagen Group in 2011, initially taking charge of strategic projects at Group Sales. He began his career in 1982 at DAF Trucks Netherlands. Schot moved to Mercedes-Benz in 1987, where the native of the Netherlands held various international posts, latterly as president and ceo of Mercedes-Benz Italia from 2006 to 2011.
