The recruitment drive at Fleet Alliance continues with the appointment of experienced fleet consultant Steve Lane as new business development manager.

Lane, 46, will concentrate on working with 50-plus fleets and joins Fleet Alliance with more than 20 years’ experience in the automotive, fleet and corporate finance sectors, including spells at Lex Vehicle Leasing, Bank of Scotland Vehicle Finance and Daimler Fleet Management.

“I am really looking forward to working with Fleet Alliance which is very different to the large corporate organisations I’ve worked with in the past, where it can sometimes take a long time to address a client’s needs and requirements,” he said.

“Fleet Alliance is a dynamic business, which reacts quickly and one which has an attractive array of products and solutions, For example, the new online fleet management and reporting solution, e-fleet, provides fleets of all sizes with a clear and transparent means of managing their entire fleet more effectively.

“Fleet Alliance also employs competitive tendering to secure the best possible prices for its fleet customers, and regards customer service as the highest priority.

“Fleet customers are looking for a supplier with whom they can trust and have a long term mutually beneficial relationship, rather than businesses which dips in and out of the market depending on their available reserves. We aim to offer them that stability with Fleet Alliance.”

Fleet Alliance managing director, Martin Brown, said the new appointment was in line with the company’s continued expansion and product development plans.
