Ford had three reasons to celebrate at the show. In addition to the launch of the new Transit Connect Electric, visitors had a first glimpse of the new Ranger 4x4 and the new Euro V range of

Transits which is due in the UK later this year.

The Ranger offers stunning chunky looks and a class-leading towing capability of up to 3,350kg.
New TDCi engines go under the bonnet – a 2.2-litre unit with 150bhp and a blistering 3.2-litre with 200bhp.

Meanwhile Transit will soon be getting upgraded Euro V powerplants.

The new 2.2-litre engines offer 100bhp to 155bhp and there will be two new Econetic versions in short or long wheelbase offering savings of up to 10% on fuel. Cost of ownership figures will also improve, with service intervals extending to 30,000 miles or every two years.
