Multi-modal and logistics organisation KRL has expanded its operations after acquiring Just Vans (South West) in Frome.

KRL, which has a central domestic transport hub in Telford in the West Midlands, along with numerous other locations in the UK, and Just Vans, which has its depot located in Frome, are both part of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network.

The acquisition will see Just Vans benefit from a wider customer portfolio. As part of the deal, KRL’s staff have now merged into Just Vans’ large depot on the Marston Trading Estate located in Frome.

Joe Hales, managing director of KRL, said: “It’s an exciting time for KRL and we’re looking forward to working with our new colleagues from Just Vans.

"This acquisition is a great coming together of two business and both are set to mutually benefit from the deal.

"Just Vans can tap into KRL’s strength in shipping international freight by road, sea and air.

"Also, while we have an unrivalled reputation in the Midlands, the acquisition will help us to increase our presence in the south west.”

KRL has been trading for nearly 25 years and provides a range of logistics services including air and sea freight, import and export, warehouse, logistics, pick and pack, UK transportation and European distribution.

Both KRL and Just Vans are each one of over 100 independent transport providers in the Palletways UK network who share each other’s resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.

The Palletways Group is made up of more than 400 depots and 14 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 20 European countries, including the UK.
