Enterprise Flex-E-Rent has created two bespoke transporters for the company’s Exotic Car Collection in the UK. This will ensure the safe delivery of some of its most desirable rental vehicles to any location in the country.

The transporters each have an overall length of 10 metres and are 2.26 metres wide. Enterprise specified these vehicles because of their width, which is suitable for the special design of many sports cars, and because the tilt and slide design of the body enables the whole of the deck area to slide off the back of the chassis and sit almost level with the ground.

The two trucks are DAF 55 LF180 rigid Euro VI single deck covered transporters, each specified with a day cab and fitted with a Dyson Hydraloader SLA 5000 body. They have a GVW of 12,000 kg and a load capacity of five tonnes.

Danny Glynn, managing director of Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, said:  “The vehicles in our Exotic Car Collection can’t just be driven away from a branch like a normal hire car. That’s why we’ve created specialist transporters.

“Transporting luxury and high performance sports vehicles is a specialised operation. The transporters had to be covered units and we had to make sure we could fit the complete range through the opening on the roller door.”

Customers can rent Enterprise’s collection of high-end vehicles from a specialist Enterprise branch at Heathrow Airport for delivery anywhere in the UK via this bespoke transportation service.

Glynn added: “Our Exotic Car Collection has been a major hit in the United States and we’re seeing a similar level of demand both in London and throughout the UK for prestige and supercar rental.”
