Bathgate Business Finance has appointed Rachel Berry as its new business development manager.

Berry brings over 13 years’ experience in the leasing industry to Bathgate’s team, garnered in her role as a new business and account manager for Lombard Vehicle Solutions and ALD Automotive.

In her previous role, Berry worked with SMEs and large corporate organisations in the professional services sector to deliver fleet solutions.

Berry joins the team just a few months after the appointment of property specialist, Ben Humphreys.

Debbie Fox appointed as new commercial director at Epyx

Debbie Fox has been appointed as the new commercial director at Epyx.

Fox will be responsible for all commercial activities at Epyx and across the 1Link family of platforms in the UK and internationally.

She succeeds Tim Meadows, who has moved on within the Fleetcor group of companies to become managing director at fleet and workshop software provider R2C Online.

Fox’s most recent role was as chief commercial officer at Click Dealer, while in recent years she has also been general manager at Athoris, fleet director at OEConnection, head of sales at EMaC and business development director at KeeResources.

 She has also held positions at JATO Dynamics, CAP Motor Research, Premier Finance, Inchcape Financial Services and Lombard Business Finance in a career spanning over 30 years.

Allianz Holdings appoints Christopher Twemlow as new chief legal officer

Allianz Holdings has appointed Christopher Twemlow to the role of chief legal officer.

Reporting to chief financial officer Fernley Dyson, Twemlow will act as general counsel and company secretary overseeing the legal and company secretariat functions across the Allianz Holdings group.

Twemlow has worked with the international financial services group, Euroclear since 2007 and has headed their UK legal team since 2013. Prior to this he worked with Lloyd’s of London.

Leon Daniels OBE appointed to Department for Transport Advisory Board

Leon Daniels OBE, ITT Hub’s chairman and vice president of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, has been appointed to the Government’s Net Zero Board (NZTB).

The Net Zero Board is an external advisory board which provides objective and impartial advice on transport decarbonisation to the Department for Transport (DfT).

The board is chaired by Grant Shapps MP, secretary of state for transport, and transport minister Rachel Maclean.

Leon Daniels OBE, said “I am delighted to be a member of the Net Zero Board, a board with a vast breadth of experience.

“This is a pivotal moment - with the pandemic having changed working and travel habits, creating cleaner air in our towns and cities, we have the opportunity to fully realise our net-zero ambition.

“The economic opportunities offered by alternative methods of transport have enormous potential. A cleaner, greener country will create new jobs and help to level up our economy.”

The objectives of the board are to provide advice during the development of the transport decarbonisation plan and on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transport, particularly the longer-term technological and behavioural changes required to deliver transport’s contribution to net-zero.

The board brings together leaders from fields such as behavioural change and policy, as well as experts from industry sectors including the environment, science technology and different modes of transport.
