A new asset management module has been added to Chevin’s FleetWave fleet management software.

Called ‘Asset to Asset’, it gives users the ability to record items such as trailers, plant and workshop equipment within FleetWave and then generate a range of reports that can be used as the basis for management decisions.

Assets recorded can be allocated to a vehicle, a location, a driver or another asset so the user can see where an asset is at any time.

FleetWave also records the history of where the asset has been assigned in its lifetime.

Each asset can also have 'child' assets with the option to create sophisticated asset hierarchies.

Reports can be generated to show how much the asset fleet is costing, its servicing needs, its servicing history and much more.

Users can also create their own reports to interrogate FleetWave about the asset fleet.

Ashley Sowerby, managing director of Chevin, said: “Many of our fleet customers have extensive asset fleets and this new module provides a highly effective means of management for them.

“It is already in use by some of our most advanced fleet users and the feedback that we are receiving is very positive."
