Europcar Vans and Trucks, a division of Europcar Mobility Group UK, has added additional models from Volkswagen and Nissan to its rental fleet.

In response to continued high demand, largely due to increased activity in the logistics, construction and building maintenance sectors, it says it has been working with its manufacturer partners to bring new models on to its fleet.

These include the Volkswagen Caddy Cargo SWB Commerce, which is accessible from Europcar Van and Trucks’ 12 supersites around the UK.

In January, the company said it had seen a 72% year-on-year increase in the number of vehicle rental days, with the average length of rental hire also increasing by 50%.

David Saint, van and truck director UK at Europcar Mobility Group UK, said: “As increased business confidence returns to many industries across the country, we are seeing increased demand from businesses that need quick and cost-effective access to the latest and most technologically advanced vans and specialist vehicles.

“We are therefore extending our LCV fleet, working with our manufacturer partners.

“In particular, we are aiming to make long-term rental a viable solution for companies that face fluctuations in demand.

“Rather than committing to lengthy lease agreements with onerous termination penalties, Europcar Flex offers a cost-effective, flexible solution for van users.”

Europcar’s latest supersite is located two miles from Cardiff city centre.
