Kingston Works Limited, the principal provider of housing maintenance, street lighting and vehicle fleet services to Hull City Council, has taken on 13 pure-electric Peugeot e-Expert vans.

These will join a number of other zero emission vehicles on the organisations’ fleet and takes the total number of Peugeot vehicles operated by them to close to 200.

Both KWL and HCC are working towards electrifying its entire fleet and hope the new vans will showcase the credentials of EVs.

Gary Middleton, fleet manager at Hull City Council, said: “Peugeot’s products have proven a first line choice for many years for both KWL and HCC.

“Given Peugeot’s previous work in providing a wide range of vehicles for both KWL and HCC, the e-Expert was a natural successor to progress the continuous electrification of our fleet.”

The e-Expert vans have an electric range of up to 211 miles, a maximum payload of 1,226kg (model dependent) and load volume of 6.1cu m.

They are available with either a 50kWh or 75kWh battery, and support up to 100kW rapid charging, which means the e-Expert can be charged from 0-80% in 30 minutes.

Basic MRRP prices (before VAT) for e-Expert start from £32,965 for the entry specification with a 50kWh battery.
