Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a zero per cent finance offer on vehicle servicing, repairs and accessories to help keep owners’ vans on the road, even when faced with unexpected bills.

The offer follows figures that revealed over £13.8 million of identified ‘red work’ including tyres, brakes and steering goes unrepaired every year as drivers struggle to foot the bill, according to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles statistics.

Data also showed that almost four million drivers are put off regular maintenance due to the fear of unexpected repair costs.

‘To help van drivers stay on top of vehicle maintenance and ensure their vans are always in safe condition’, the new interest-free offer is available for loans up to £5,000 with payments spread over six months and the option of paying nothing on the day the repair is completed.

David Hanna, head of aftersales at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “Making remedial work more affordable by offering customers interest-free payment terms, means we can support owners in getting their van safely back on the road with all repair work completed.

“As part of our Working With You promise, we are committed to taking the stress out of vehicle ownership and allowing our customers to focus on running their business on a day-to-day basis."

Earlier this month, Cian O'Brien was appointed as director at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, taking over from Carl zu Dohna.
