Renault has appointed TruckCraft Bodies as the official supplier of its factory-built Renault Master Luton Box and Renault Master Luton Low Loader conversions.

The company, which was established in 2003 and is based in Greater Manchester, will build the official Renault Master Luton Box and Renault Master Low Loader with immediate effect.

TruckCraft Bodies is already an accredited convertor in Renault’s bespoke ‘Tailor Made’ conversions programme.

The LCVs are key models in the Renault Pro+ Commercial Vehicles ‘Off the shelf’ conversion line-up, which is available to purchase directly through Renault dealerships.

The range is based on the versatile Renault Master, in either Chassis Cab or Platform Cab format. It also includes Tipper and Dropside variants, all of which provide customers with the convenience of a ready-to-use conversion.

All Renault ‘Off the shelf’ conversions come with the same three-year/100,000-mile warranty as a regular Renault Pro+ Panel Van.

TruckCraft Bodies was chosen to be the official builder of the Renault Master Luton Box and Renault Master Luton Low Loader after impressing the manufacturer with the quality of its conversions, its customer-centric focus and the flexibility of its operation.

Renault says the appointment of TruckCraft Bodies ensures that its ‘Off the shelf’ customers will benefit from easily-accessible, ready-made conversions that meet their requirements and conform to Renault’s exacting standards.

With a large production facility, there are no issues with supply. Depending on the size of the order, customers of the Renault Master Luton Box and Renault Master Luton Low Loader can often take delivery in short timeframes.

The Renault Master Luton Box LL35 (long length, 3.5-tonne) comes with a Euro 6d-compliant dCi 130 2.3-litre turbodiesel engine, paired to an efficiency-enhancing six-speed manual gearbox, and is available in front-wheel drive or rear-wheel formats. The conversion offers a payload of up to 1,175kg, while also providing customers with such standard features as load lock rails, lashing points, load area lighting, Luton head storage, rear step and rear roller shutter.

Customers of the Renault Master Luton Low Loader LL35 (long length, 3.5-tonne) can choose from two engines, both of which drive through the front wheels. The conversion can be specified with dCi 135 or ENERGY dCi 150 power units, which are paired as standard to a six-speed manual transmission. The ENERGY dCi 150 engine is also available with the Quickshift6 six-speed automatic gearbox.

Providing a payload of 1,250kg and a loading height of only 550mm, Renault says the vehicle is ideal for the likes of removal businesses.

Both vehicles are supplied in the Business level of trim. Standard features include DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, remote central locking, electric windows, multi-function trip computer, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and Hill Start Assist.

Stephen Whitcombe, head of Brand for Pro+ Commercial Vehicles at Groupe Renault UK, said: “TruckCraft Bodies has already proved to be a highly valued partner for our accredited ‘Tailor Made’ convertor programme and we are pleased to now extend the relationship to include the build of two of our most popular ‘Off the shelf’ conversions. The scale and expertise of its operation, plus the quality of its work, ensures that ‘Off the shelf’ conversion customers continue to enjoy the benefits of specialised light commercial vehicles combined with the convenience of easy ordering and the peace-of-mind that the entire vehicle is covered by a comprehensive manufacturer warranty.”
