Majestic Wines has added more Citroen Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay vans to its nationwide delivery fleet.

It now has 222 Citroen vans. The vehicles will mainly be used by the company’s network of retail stores for home and customer deliveries, while the Relays are used to supply Majestic Wine’s product lines to its commercial customers, including event organisers, restaurants, pubs and bars.

The company has upgraded the Citroen vans on its fleet to Enterprise specification, which includes equipment such as air-conditioning, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and rear parking sensors as standard.

Chris Whitby, fleet manager for Majestic Wine, said: “Our vans are on the go all the time, carrying a variety of loads ranging from a few cases of wine and beer to a whole party order, including glasses and chiller bins.

“The vehicles are working on every sort road you can think of, from congested urban routes to quiet rural roads.

“The Enterprise specification helps us to control our fuel bills, keep our drivers comfortable and reduces accidental damage to the minimum, thanks to the standard satellite navigation, air conditioning and parking sensors.”

The Majestic Wine fleet mainly consists of the Berlingo BlueHDi 100 manual L1 850 Enterprise, with the Dispatch vans used by larger stores, while the Relay, is utilised by Majestic Commercial where a greater load capacity is needed.

The fleet is supplied through franchised dealership Just Citroën of Preston on a contract with Lex Autolease.
