Wellingborough Homes has taken delivery of Citroen Relay and Dispatch vans – the final new additions of its annual fleet renewal.

Specified with racking, livery, roof racks and secure storage chests, they are funded on contract hire with LeasePlan.

The vehicles were tendered under mini-competition utilising the Halton Housing Trust Contract Hire Framework, with the tender managed by Link Asset Services.

Alan Miller, estate services manager at Wellingborough Homes (pictured), commented: “Working in a highly variable and demanding sector, it’s essential that our fleet is fit for purpose.

“But our requirements can vary from year to year. That’s why the relationship with Link Asset Services is so important to our business.

“With flexible and cost-effective solutions on hand, we are able to reshape and refresh the component parts of our fleet to ensure that we are able to deliver a fantastic service to our customers.”

Marc Garrett, associate director at Link Asset Services, added: “Planning ahead isn’t possible for all our housing association clients.

“But the process we have established with Wellingborough Homes ensures that fleet requirements are identified early – six to 12 months in advance of actual delivery - and the journey to delivery is uncomplicated and cost effective."
