Cool Cube Logistics has contracted Verilocation to provide a real-time vehicle tracking and temperature monitoring solution.

This will give Cool Cube live reporting abilities on the temperature and location of any load, and deliver those results to the customers upon collection.

Cool Cube wanted to excel in its sector and needed to maintain flexible operations and customer service standards. It is now able to monitor the temperature of all its deliveries, which is especially important with chilled and frozen goods.

Cool Cube’s general manager Steve Pearce said: “Part of the solution includes PTO door sensors, allowing customers to view the exact moment of door opening and closing events on the graphical temperature report and print outs.

“This can explain sharp rises or drops in temperature and shows if doors are being left open too long and goods unattended.

"We also receive immediate text or email alerts when the temperature thresholds are close to being breached, ensuring our customer’s temperature sensitive deliveries are always looked after.”

Verilocation’s chief executive Andrew Overton said: “Our real-time integrated temperature monitoring and vehicle tracking solution ensures complete peace of mind for our customers, with live temperature tracking and threshold alerting.

“Being able to provide proof of temperature for their customers not only allows them to compete in their industry, but can also save thousands of pounds in spoilt loads.”

Pearce said: “In our view the team at Verilocation is quite advanced with their technology and are improving all the time.

"Their forward-thinking approach is a key fundamental for our business and enables us to constantly offer improved services for our customers.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Verilocation and look forward to a continued alliance.”
