Building and maintenance support services provider Mountjoy has taken on 17 Transporters T30 Startline panel vans, bringing the total number of new Volkswagen commercial vehicles on its fleet to nearly 150.

The Portsmouth-based firm has a fleet of more than 200 vehicles and the new Transporters follow the provision of 110 Transporters, 10 Crafters and 10 Caddys in September last year.

The T30 Startline panel vans have been supplied to Mountjoy by Southampton’s Breeze Van Centre and have been wrapped, branded and racked out, and are fitted with all-round parking sensors and Bluetooth technology.

Mountjoy's tradesmen will use the new vehicles to carry the equipment they need for refurbishment projects and to continue to deliver a responsive repair service to housing tenants as part of Mountjoy's contract with Portsmouth City Council.

Dan Carlin, finance director at Mountjoy, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to continue our excellent working partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Taking on nearly 150 vans within the last six months is a testament to their quality, robustness and how well they serve our tradesmen in their day-to-day roles.

“The vehicles allow us to deliver flexible and tailored services across Southern England and look fantastic in the Mountjoy wrapping and branding. The vehicles’ hands-free technology continues to be a real benefit for the tradesmen; they find them practical and efficient.”
