Renault Kangoo Z.E to get range boost to 168 miles

Renault is increasing the range of its all-electric Kangoo Z.E. to 168 miles (NEDC), with the fitment of a new motor and battery.

The range increase of 50% means the Kangoo Z.E. will manage 124 miles in real-world driving conditions, the longest available all-electric range in the small van market.

It’s the second electric Renault to benefit from a range increase this year, with the Zoe city car receiving a similar boost thanks to its new Z.E.40 battery.

The vehicle will be presented at the European motor show in Brussels on January 13 2017.
