Rental firms renew focus on the customer

Rental firms at Commercial Fleet Van and Truck were keen to tailor their services to a customers' need.

Reflex Vans was promoting its incident camera package at the show. Fleets that choose a vehicle from Reflex can option a camera for £5 a week, which can be incorporated into the rental charge.

Northgate Vehicle Hire has recently relaunched its buyback scheme, called ‘We buy, you rent’. Under the service, the firm will purchase a fleet’s outright-owned vehicles, dispose of them, and provide a new flexibly rented vehicle fleet in its place.

Scottish-based TOM Vehicle Rental was keen to highlight its UK-wide national service, with a focus on customer care, personal response and a flexible rental offering.

Enterprise was also promoting its flexible rental brand, Flex-E-Rent, at the event.

Marketing manager Andrew Hill said: “Brexit has led to uncertainty in the market. People are not sure what to invest in or how much to invest. We offer a genuine alternative . We will offer the vehicles you want on the terms you want.”
