Auto electric company Ring is to showcase its electric and lighting accessories for the conversion market at this year's CV Show.

Ring will be demonstrating its full range of products for the vehicle converter market including mobile power, interior lighting, work lighting and warning lighting.

One of the key attributes of making a vehicle a mobile work unit is to have a mains power connection. Ring’s Pure Sine Wave inverters take a vehicle’s 12v power supply and turns into mains power. Being pure sinewave the electrical supply is constant and smooth that even the most sensitive electronics will operate from.  After listening to customers, the range has recently been re-engineered to include hard wired options complete with RCD circuit boards for greater user safety. The new range has also gone through vigorous testing and extensive field trails so they are fit for the demands that will be placed on them.

The 12v power supply normally comes from an auxiliary battery. The traditional method or recharging and maintaining this battery is to use a split relay system. However, using this method can have an effect on efficient charging, as there is a loss of voltage through resistance within the long wiring.

Ring’s new DC-to-DC Charger the RSCDC30, is a dedicated SmartCharger for charging auxiliary batteries. It takes the energy from a vehicle's main battery and converts it into multistage output for charging an additional battery. The charger compensates for any voltage drop in order to maximise charge to an auxiliary battery, and so provides a more efficient charging process.

Ring has teamed up with Lyndon Security Systems to showcase a vehicle that will be on the stand, that has been converted into a welfare vehicle. The van will give greater visualisation to visitors of how our products can be used in and around a van.

Richard Morley, sales director at Ring said, “We are looking forward to building on the success of last year’s CV Show. We will have existing customers who will be keen to see the new product developments and new customers who will be interested in understanding how they can benefit from working with Ring.”
