Manheim has deployed its Mobile Auction Unit to sell nearly £500,000 worth of premium vans at a sale in Wiltshire.

Manheim achieved a 97% conversion rate on 60 commercial vehicles lots, chosen for their premium specification from Hitachi’s de-fleet stock.

In total, more than 150 physical and online buyers participated in the auction, with a third of the vehicles selling to online bidders.

Roger Holder, remarketing manager at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, said: “It was an industry-first event and has opened a whole new dimension for us for the remarketing and disposal of commercials vehicles.

"It has helped to further strengthen our relationship with Manheim and we look forward to the continued success of this partnership.”

Dave Parry, online director for Manheim, said: “It’s fantastic to have made commercial vehicle auction history with Hitachi Capital and achieved such a great result for the Mobile Auction Unit’s first CV sale.

"The capability we provided at the auction, combined with the quality and rarity of the premium vehicles meant that buyers were fighting for the opportunity to secure the stock.”
