Conversions and vehicle supply firms Advanced Minibus and KFS Special Vehicles have merged to form Advanced KFS Special Vehicles.

The merged business adapts and supplies a wide range of specialist and bespoke vehicles.

These include modified mini-buses, grounds maintenance vehicles, car transporters, recovery vehicles, plant hire vehicles, prototype pre-production models and disabled accessible mini-buses. Customers include councils, schools, charities and businesses.

The new company is headed by Ian Knight in the role of managing director, Mark Adams as production director in Andover, Gary Robinson as production director in Clay Cross and Steve Elwell as sales director.

Knight said: “Both companies have a good reputation for quality and are recognised by numerous base vehicle suppliers for the various sectors they work in.

“The merger has given us a superb product range. With both companies operating in vehicle supply, often with the same customer but not with the same product type, our new business has a broader appeal with a wide range of quality products from single car transporters to fully accessible van based mini buses.”

He added: “By combining our operations and highly skilled teams, we are able to bring a wider selection of vehicles to market and provide our clients with the right equipment for the right job.”

The company builds vehicles on a wide range of motor manufacturers’ base vehicles, including Citroen, Volkswagen, Ford, Iveco, Renault, Peugeot and Fiat.
