JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions has entered a deal to supply 11 new vehicles to Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK (WVR).

WVR owns self-catering holiday home companies, Cumbrian Cottages and Yorkshire Cottages.

Five Ford Transit Connect vans and six Ford Fiesta vans, all with Cumbrian Cottages and Yorkshire Cottages branding, were delivered to its head office in Earby, Lancashire.

JCT600 was chosen as the supplier for WVR UK's first ever fleet of contract hire vans, having previously supplied the company’s cars.

The vehicles will be used by the company’s maintenance team which looks after its cottages in and around Windermere and Keswick in Cumbria and Grassington in Yorkshire.

The vans were chosen specifically because of their compact size – providing the maintenance team with sufficient capacity to carry equipment, but being small enough for narrow, rural lanes.

The four year contract hire agreement provides the company with full maintenance, including tyres and breakdown cover.

Louise Sutton , JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions sales support manager, said: “WVR UK has been a customer of JCT600 since 2009, but until now its commercial vehicles have always been owned outright.

“Moving the entire commercial fleet onto a contract hire agreement was a big change for them, so we made sure we were on hand to provide extra support for the team that would be using the vans.

“We drove all 11 vehicles to the site on one day, rather than using a transporter, and provided an induction and handover for all members of their maintenance team to ensure they fully understood what they could expect from the vehicles and how the JCT600 breakdown and maintenance service works.”
