Sarah Palfreyman has been promoted to the role of network operations manager at Mercedes-Benz Vans, replacing Angela Joyes.

In her new role, Palfreyman is responsible for network strategy, business management and the successful implementation of the Van ProCenter Dealer Excellence Programme.

Palfreyman joined Mercedes-Benz Vans in January 2013 as a network district manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her time with Porsche GB, where she was responsible for the day-to-day support of 10 of the 35 Official Porsche Centres.

Prior to joining Porsche, she was employed as an area sales manager for Audi UK, managing 16 of their Audi Centres located in the North West.

Palfreyman said: “We have a solid commercial vehicle dealer network, offering 110 service points across the length and breadth of the UK, with workshops open up to 100 hours a week on average and a third of sites open 24-hours a day throughout the working week.

“This also means there is a big task in looking after the operations of the Network, as well as overseeing the continuation in rollout of the VanPro dealer excellence programme. We currently have seven dealer market areas accredited, representing 35 locations, and over 70% of the Network engaged with the programme.

“I look forward to utilising my experience to ensure our dealer network offers an unrivalled service to our customers.”

Sarah will report directly in to Steve Bridge, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Vans.

He added: “In her roles at Porsche GB and Audi UK, Sarah gained extensive experience in Network development and planning, as well as measuring the success of the Retailers, so she is the ideal candidate for this position.

“I have every confidence that our dealer network will further enhance under the guidance of Sarah.”
