Ryder enhances commercial vehicle offering

Ryder Used Approved vehicles

Ryder has enhanced its used commercial vehicle offering to provide customers with added benefits and a new buying experience.

The introduction of complimentary aftersales support vouchers with all retail purchases of DAF Certified used commercial vehicles from Ryder Used Approved, forms part of the enhanced offering.

Worth £350, each voucher can be used in full or part-payment for DAF parts when work is conducted across DAF’s 155-strong dealer network in the UK and Ireland.

Ryder customers will also be issued with one voucher (valid for 12 months from date of activation) for each qualifying vehicle purchased from Ryder Used Approved.

Jon Dickinson, asset disposal manager at Ryder, said: “Every Ryder Used Approved vehicle undergoes a full road test as part of our 90-point inspection to ensure it’s in the best condition possible when a customer takes possession.

“Our enhanced aftersales support and new money-back guarantee are all testament to the faith we have in the first-class service Ryder Used Approved provides to customers.”

Ryder is also providing free delivery and a five-day money-back guarantee if customers are not completely satisfied with their purchase of one of Ryder’s Certified or Verified used vehicles.

New website

The independent provider of commercial vehicle rental, contract hire, and maintenance services across the UK, has also reengineered the Ryder Used Approved website.

The search function has been improved, providing the ability to save vehicles for review at a later date.

All online vehicle adverts are now clearly classified with colour-coded icons - Gold, Silver and Bronze - to give a clear indication of their classification and condition.

“Users now have access to an increased number of vehicle images to enable them to make more informed choices than ever before,” said Dickinson.

A new compare function also allows users to select up to three vehicles and compare each advertisement against selected features such as mileage, MOT dates and location, while the addition of a Share feature lets users easily share a PDF summary document of a particular vehicle/s of interest, Ryder said.

The new Google map location functionality allows users to calculate the distance and route for collection should the user wish to proceed with a vehicle purchase from Ryder’s flagship Used Approved Sales and Service Centre.

Dickinson said: “The Ryder Used Approved website has a comprehensive choice of multi-marque vehicles to meet customers’ particular requirements, and our new Featured Vehicles listing makes it easier for users to view any stock that is likely to be of interest in terms of marque, type, condition or mileage.

“Our new enhanced website, and additional customer benefits make it easier, quicker and smoother for users to find and purchase the vehicles they want, when they need them."
