New RHCV site in Nottingham officially opened

RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) marked the official opening of its new £3.5 million site in Nottingham last week, with a special event.

More than 90 people celebrated the opening at in Nottingham, including staff, representatives from Renault Trucks UK and suppliers and contractors.

Located just three miles from Junction 26 of the M1, planning permission for the new 1.7-acre site was granted in 2018. A significant 12-month development programme immediately followed with contractors, Samclo Construction handing over the keys to RHCV in June 2019.

The new site was developed as part of plans to boost accessibility and enhance the East Midlands Renault Trucks dealer’s presence along the M1 corridor, joining its existing sites in Northampton, Leicester and Alfreton.

In addition, the site boosted RHCV’s service offering with a workshop, a brand-new authorised testing facility (ATF) lane, paint booth and tacho-rolling bay.

During the event, Nigel Baxter, managing director at RHCV and Carlos Rodrigues, managing director of Renault Trucks UK delivered speeches to the guests.

They thanked them for their commitment and dedication to ensuring the site was delivered to the highest standard for staff and customers, before officially cutting the ribbon to the site.

Baxter said: “We were delighted to welcome special guests to the event and thank them for their efforts in helping to complete the extensive build in such a short timeframe.

“The official opening marked an exciting new chapter for RHCV and our head office.

“We are constantly responding to customer needs and through the new improved site and a clear strategy, we will be able to continue providing an unrivalled and flexible service within new and used truck sales, workshop and parts delivery alongside contract hire and truck and van rental.”

Established more than 40 years ago and with 118 employees across its four sites, RHCV has doubled in size over the past six years.

It is an authorised distributor for Renault Trucks and provides new and used sales, service and parts for the full Renault Trucks range as well as all-makes parts and servicing for commercial vehicles. The business also provides a range of rental/lease options through sister company, RH Rentals.
