TruckEast Norwich has taken the top spot as Scania’s ‘Depot of the Year’ in its annual UK-wide competition, claiming “maximum points against every target”.

Designed to encourage its dealer network to strive for excellence in every aspect of aftersales, the competition runs throughout the year and draws every aspect of dealer life under the microscope.

Criteria for the UK Depot of the Year award are set against key performance areas within the aftersales operation, in which TruckEast Norwich outscored all other Scania branches.

Claiming maximum points against every target, including a fantastic 100% MOT pass rate, the result is a direct reflection of the hard work and commitment delivered by the branch.

Scania’s aftersales director Martyn Clipston said: “We are very proud and honoured to win Scania Depot of the Year.

"The dedication and overall service levels delivered by Depot Manager, Paul Loades and his team at Norwich are excellent and it’s fantastic for the branch to be recognised for their efforts.”

TruckEast’s managing director John Biggin said: “We are delighted for Norwich to have achieved this award. As a brand, all Scania dealers aim to deliver the highest levels of aftersales care to our customers, so to be acknowledged for providing the best in the network is amazing.”

TruckEast invested over £100,000 into upgrading the premises and facilities in 2016, and the site has gone from “strength to strength” under the leadership of depot manager Paul Loades (pictured).

“Our priority at TruckEast is to keep business moving and the key to this is delivering fantastic customer service. But to be able to do that, you have to have a team of people that are motivated and love their jobs; this is what makes the difference. And at Norwich, I believe we have just that,” said Biggin.

As well as Norwich coming first in the Depot of the Year, TruckEast also had another three branches, Corby, Northampton and Stowmarket, finishing within the top ten positions – a total of 84 Scania branches make up the UK dealer network.
