Scania Dealer Group, TruckEast, is investing £2.5 million in the expansion of its Crick premises.

Stemming from a purchase of the adjacent building at the end of 2017, TruckEast Crick plans to double its overall size with the development.

The proposed new development will feature state-of-the-art offices, parts and service facilities, in accordance with Scania’s global dealership principles.

TruckEast’s managing director John Biggin said: “This development at Crick is a big investment and will enable us to continue to deliver excellent service levels to our existing customers whilst supporting the growth in the region.

"It brings an exciting future for everyone involved – both staff and customers alike.”

Based in a “prime location”, the investment at Crick shows the company’s commitment to keep operators moving. With an increasing level of local developments along the A5, the expansion is deemed essential to keep up with future demand.

Working with C-Squared Architects, the plans submitted for the site will take the existing four-bay workshop to nine-bays and include dedicated customer areas, large tool and parts storage along with offices, staff welfare and meeting facilities.

The inclusion of an ATF lane is also being explored with the DVSA.
