R2c Online has released an Earned Recognition explainer video featuring the DVSA.

In the video Philip Lapczuk, Earned Recognition project manager at the DVSA, explains how the scheme will work and dispels many myths.

Viewers will discover the benefits of taking part, KPIs operators will need to achieve and how DVSA see the future of digital compliance.

This release comes after news that after January 31, ER pilot operators will be exempt from random roadside checks – unless there is something obviously wrong.

These changes are being enforced in preparation for the scheme’s launch later this Spring.

Lapczuk said:“DVSA want to work with ER operators to address any issues, rather than take enforcement action.

"Our expectation is that you will contact us if something is going wrong. It’s up to you to call us and let us know what you’ve done to rectify it.”

R2c Online’s managing director Nick Walls: “Years of investment and consideration have been put into making Earned Recognition a reality and we have designed proven and robust technology to underpin any operator’s transitions.

"We see it as the first big step in a major industry transition to digital compliance.

“Working closely with DVSA, the FTA and our established customer base, over the last 10 years we’ve created a best practice solution that makes it as simple as possible for fleet operators to gain Earned Recognition status.”

The pilot is closing soon with the final application deadline on February 28. Operators considering taking part are encouraged to contact r2c to help prepare for Earned Recognition.
