A lubricant manufacturer has continued its long-standing relationship with MAN Truck & Bus UK by investing in new vehicles.

Fuchs Lubricants, based in Stoke-on-Trent, has added three MAN TGS 18.400 4x2 Tractor units to its fleet.

The company has a 15-year working relationship with MAN and almost all of its vehicles have been purchased through the local dealership, HRVS in Stoke.

Steve Brown, fleet manager for Fuchs, said: “We’re delighted to continue our investment in our infrastructure by adding these new MAN tractor units to our fleet.

“We are very loyal to MAN as it is an excellent, proven product.

“The fuel economy is impressive, the reliability is good and we have an excellent rapport with the local MAN dealership, HRVS, who service all of our needs.”

Fuchs has traditionally opted for the 44 tonne, 6x2 MAN units but has this time decided on lighter 4x2 trucks as they offer greater accessibility when delivering lubricants around the country.

Brown added: “The better turning circles mean we can do tight deliveries. The cab size and wheel base is dropped and they look more aesthetically pleasing.

“Our new trucks are now fully branded and look amazing. They really turn heads on the motorway.”

The Fuchs trucks deliver premium oils and lubricants right across the UK and typically cover around 75,000 miles a year.

Paul Hollamby, MAN sales executive, added: “MAN has a solid relationship with Fuchs and we are delighted that we have been able to supply vehicles to fulfil their requirements both in terms of efficiency and practicality. We look forward to maintaining this partnership in to the future.”
