Transport for London’s (TfL) Glen Davies, responsible for FORS, CLOCS and the new LoCITY initiative to reduce commercial vehicle emissions, has been confirmed as a speaker at the Microlise Transport Conference.

Davies is freight and fleet programme manager at TfL and will discuss the strategies being put in place to ensure London’s transport infrastructure can meet future commercial and population needs, whilst being sustainable, safe, effective and clean.

He joins an exciting line up which includes Transaid Patron The Princess Royal, industry thought leaders covering topics from government policy to policing; and views from leading transport service providers and industry organisations.

Two panel sessions are also scheduled to take place during the day; one on realising new talent from untapped resources and another looking ahead to road transport in the year 2020 featuring executives from the truck manufacturers.

“I am really thrilled to be speaking at the Microlise Transport Conference which has become one of standout industry events in the annual calendar,” said Davies.

“There are lots of initiatives underway at TfL that I will be updating delegates on, relevant to transport service providers operating across the country.”

In recent years the Microlise Transport Conference has become one of the most important diary dates for transport industry professionals, attracting more than a thousand delegates in 2015.

“With TfL coming on-board to speak we believe we have secured a very strong line-up that will engage and inform attendees,” said Nadeem Raza, Microlise chief executive officer.

“Alongside the conference agenda there will also be workshops hosted by the Road Haulage Association, Motor Transport and ourselves – so the conference really is packed with both high level and practical information.”
