Accident management company S&G Response has reduced repair costs for Saint-Gobain by 42% over the last two years.

S&G Response provides a national repair management solution to meet Saint-Gobain’s extensive requirements, which include subsidiaries such as Jewson, and, where appropriate, to deliver a third party assistance solution.

It was selected by Saint-Gobain for a "deep understanding" of the HGV and commercial vehicle market coupled with S&G's national network.

The company has reported average savings of 42% against Saint-Gobain’s previous solution. 

Sean Harper, supply chain manager at S&G said: "As a true partnership we have taken significant time to understand the Saint-Gobain fleet to build a tailored and robust supply chain that can respond and work in total synergy with the client to reduce vehicle off road time and improve fleet utilisation."

An exercise to map vehicle depots with accident hotspots and assign network repairers to facilitate those areas was performed with introductions to the respective depot managers facilitated through a series of regional implementation roadshows.

The programme has delivered increased cost control and reduced VOR times.

Where there is a requirement to pro-actively manage third party property claims, S&G are able to call upon the national property damage and network of building repairers to ensure maximum efficiency and cost control. This capability allows S&G to swiftly authorise repairs where clients cause structural damage to other property.
