Bottle manufacturer, Encirc Glass, has purchased seven TGX Euro 6 tractor units from MAN Truck & Bus UK dealer, R K Trucks.

It is the first capital investment by Spanish company, Vidrala, since they bought Encirc earlier this year.

Encirc, which is based in Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh and also in Elton, Cheshire, purchased seven TGX 26 480 6X2 midlift tractor units. They have also invested in new trailers from Toomebridge-based SDC Trailers.

John McNally, Encirc logistics manager Ireland & England, said: “This is a major investment for Encirc as we look to the rest of 2015

“We had demonstrations by several manufacturers but the MAN TGX tractors really stood out due to their high quality, incredibly low fuel consumption and spacious cabin."

He continued: “Geographically, MAN was also perfectly located to carry out all our servicing and day-to-day requirements to keep our fleet in top-top condition. We were very impressed with the whole package.”

The new additions to the fleet will be involved in two types of work, drawing raw materials for the manufacture of glass and also delivering the finished product to customers.
