A Yorkshire quarrying company has purchased 4 new MAN vehicles in a four hundred and fifty thousand pound deal.

Huddersfield based PMW Quarries took delivery of the four Euro 6 TGS 400 tractor units this month.

PMW Quarries’ director, Danny Watson, said: “We have been purchasing MAN trucks since we launched over thirty five years ago and they’ve been top class every time.

“Over the past couple of years we’ve experienced a huge surge in demand for our products and services and have in turn required fuel efficient vehicles to help us meet those demands."

Watson added: “The development of foundations for all buildings including housing, schools, hospitals and airports rely heavily on good aggregates.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and what sets us apart from our competitors is our reliability. In order to maintain our reliable image it is vital to operate a fleet of trucks that won’t let us or our customers down.

“After testing out the majority of truck manufacturers on the market, we found that in terms of what we need them for, the MAN trucks were the most versatile.

“Our jobs include many motorway miles as well as site work and off road work on local tips that sometimes struggle with heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions.”

PMW Quarries will be using the manufacturer’s repair and maintenance package.

“MAN’s aftersales service is excellent. We have all our trucks on full gold repair and maintenance packages, with Pelican Engineering carrying out all the servicing, maintenance and MoTs whilst creating very little down time.”

MAN sales executive Adrian Hird added: “PMW Quarries is a real ambassador for the MAN brand. We have a great relationship with them, which is only getting stronger by the year.”
