Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport nominated in training provider award

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has been nominated for the ‘Training Provider of the Year’ award at the FIT Supply Chain Champion Awards.

The Awards will take place on April 14 at The National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham and offer an opportunity to celebrate excellence within the freight sector.

The FIT Supply Chain Champion Awards will highlight outstanding contribution in a range of sectors, and recognise the hard work done throughout the logistics industry.

The Awards celebrate forward-thinking individuals and companies which inspire and spur the sector on to new heights in all areas, including; innovation, performance and environmental considerations.

Shane Walton CMILT, head of professional development at CILT, said: ‘We are delighted to be recognised as one of the leading training providers in the supply chain industry. The Institute’s Professional Development Directory 2016 was launched with a new-look for this year and offering more qualifications and training than ever before. We delivered training to a record number of individuals; both in-company and public, in 2015 and we look forward to raising the standards of our profession in 2016 through supporting our members and industry professionals in training and continuing professional development.’
