Truckman has supplied a fleet of Truckman hardtops and accessories to Europcar.

Europcar has invested in 50 new Toyota Hilux vehicles and has ordered British-built hardtops from Truckman for each, to increase their functionality and security.

Forty of Truckman’s iconic and solid-sided Double Cab RS Hardtops have been fitted to the vehicles at Truckman’s West Midlands headquarters, with 10 Single Cab Classic Hardtops to be completed this year.

The Truckman hardtops, which are the only models in the UK to be compatible with the Hilux Active ladder gantry/rear window guard, convert pick-ups’ truck beds into a safe and secure storage area for Europcar’s rental customers – many of whom use their vehicles for construction and commercial purposes.

The Truckman RS is a highly-robust cab high commercial hardtop, which has a non-drill, clamp fitting and sit flush to the Hilux cab.

Mike Wheeler, managing director of Truckman, said: “An increasing number of tradespeople are utilising pick-up trucks and taking advantage of their versatility.

“With the addition of our hardtops, the company will be able to offer a vehicle that meets a more diverse and specialist needs of business, capable of comfortably handling tough environments.

“We’re proud to add Europcar to our extensive fleet customer base and are looking forward to supporting its continued expansion into the market.”

Stuart Russell, Specialist Vehicle Director at Europcar UK, said: “The Truckman brand is synonymous with high-quality hardtops and is the go-to supplier for 4x4 accessories. Its reliable, British-built products have increased the range of applications our customers can use on our Toyota Hilux pick-ups, which have become valuable additions to our fleet.”
