Fleet Managers increasingly require short, medium and long-term rental solutions. Journey planning needs to be approached in a more holistic way to overcome market obstacles.
The rental marketplace is currently undergoing some of the most challenging supply conditions ever seen in the wake of Brexit – and amidst ongoing issues like the global semi-conductor shortage and Covid-19. Fleet Managers have had to focus even harder on getting the most from their fleets while still trying to consider their future needs as the world returns to normal.

For over 20 years, Nexus has supported some of the UK’s largest fleets in the logistics, construction, utilities, wholesale and retail sectors by enabling direct access to the largest rental supply chain across all vehicle groups; cars, vans, HGVs, electric vehicles, commercial and specialist vehicles.
Nexus understands the difficulties that businesses face and is committed to supporting the UK’s fleets across all industries. With supply issues continuing as the UK economy is poised for growth, Nexus’ flexible rental solutions provides businesses with the freedom to adapt their fleet size as needed, respond to changes in the market and keep moving.
An unrivalled supply chain
Nexus’ model and technology has enabled us to help customers overcome growing challenges in the market throughout the COVID pandemic but also with the supply challenges that now result. With access to more than 550,000 vehicles across all groups, Nexus customers are in safe hands as our unrivalled supplier network ensures we are best placed to continue keeping businesses mobile.
In response to customer demand, Nexus has now added plant hire to its supply portfolio. With only a seven-day minimum hire period on welfare and accommodation, powered access, power and lighting equipment and plant vehicles, all of which can be accessed from our user friendly platform, IRIS.
Powered by tech
The IRIS platform also includes a dedicated HGV dashboard that gives our customers full visibility on key information such as; PMI, LOLER, Tacho and MOTs. Our dedicated HGV team will then work with our customers and suppliers to ensure compliance events and are monitored and escalated where required in order to ensure a customer’s operator’s licence criteria can be met.
