Coronavirus: Virtual vehicle rental network created

Prohire Software has launched a virtual vehicle rental network in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The website - www.vehiclehirenetwork.com - allows fleets to search for specific vehicles by location and hire them from a network of local, independent rental companies across the UK.

The network comprises of more than 400 rental companies, operating from in excess of 650 locations. Members range from single site businesses to multi-site operators.

Prohire managing director, Paul Newman, said: “We’re delighted that Vehicle Hire Network is now live.

“At a time when many organisations need additional fleet to deliver key services, Vehicle Hire Network makes it quick and easy to locate specific vehicles and hire from local independent rental companies.

“By bringing together our community of Prohire users, we’ve created a network of over 400 rental companies with a combined fleet of over 75,000 vehicles.

“This new network can play a key role during the COVID-19 outbreak and we hope the new initiative will support both rental companies and those delivering frontline services at this challenging time.”

There is no charge to use the facility, says Prohire, fleet decision-makers key in the location, required dates and by entering the access code VHN2020.
