Goodyear Tyres has revealed its 24/7 commercial vehicle support network, TruckForce, has reduced the average downtime of customers requiring urgent roadside assistance by three minutes, saving more than 2,600 hours throughout 2019.

The fall in average vehicle downtime for high priority jobs attended by TruckForce helped it maintain a back-on-the-road time of under 120 minutes.

In addition, more than 27,500 non-urgent jobs were also completed by TruckForce technicians.

As part of Goodyear Total Mobility - Goodyear’s end-to-end fleet service offering, TruckForce is a pan-European network specialising in the complete lifecycle management of commercial truck tyres.

The TruckForce network offers more than 300 service locations to give fleets nationwide coverage.

Richard Tawlks, equity business manager at TruckForce, said: “As anyone who works in the transport industry will know, every minute counts. So, when a breakdown strikes, it’s crucial that we get our customers back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

“Thanks to the skill and determination of our TruckForce technicians, we are thrilled to have substantially reduced customer vehicle downtime in 2019.

“Through the Goodyear Total Mobility offering, this is something we aim to improve upon even further, by providing the highest quality of service, day and night.”
